The gameplay centers around you navigating the terrifying halls, where you can encounter monsters and weird occurrences tied to puzzles.
In addition, the game makes you feel terror by applying survival mechanics, requiring you to find batteries for your flashlight, scavenge water and other supplies from previous wanderers in the Backrooms, and more. The main monsters that haunt you are known as the “partygoers”, capable of destroying any chance of survival when you fail a task or puzzle, they laid out.
This horror game features a terrifying VHS effect, coupled with the eerie backdrop of the Backrooms makes it all the more terrifying.
